Calm Living Room

I forgot which magazine I took this from. I came across it again while going through the pictures on my phone. Great way to decorate a living room with a mostly neutral palette.

I shared this picture on Tumblr of these chic Victoria Ghost chairs.

Great furniture to have at home, but not exactly within the budget yet!

Domino Mag

These days when you go to the defunct magazine's site, you see only this:

Fans of Domino are in for a treat! WWD reports that the publication is getting another chance! Hurray! Well, they say it's technically going to be an e-commerce site (another source for great finds then) with a quarterly publication. CanNOT wait!

Celebrity Homes: Rachel Zoe

Two weeks ago, I bought the September issue of InStyle magazine with the gorgeous Drew Barrymore on the cover. Inside was a feature of Hollywood super stylist Rachel Zoe's fantastic house, which, in my opinion, is just white done right.

Obviously the closet(s!) would be fantastic. So organized.

The real star though is the kitchen. This is the kitchen I want!

White is so neat and bright! I particularly like the stainless steel stove, the enormous windows, and the cozy seating.

Toddler Bed or Twin?

I've been thinking quite a bit about whether we should move our little guy (who is still just barely five months by the way) to a toddler bed.

On the one hand, going straight to twin ensures we will get more years of use from this often pricey piece of furniture and its matching mattress.

But on the other hand, toddler beds are so much safer for a squirmy little sleeper, as they are closer to the ground compared to adult-size beds. We'd also be able to keep using his cute crib beddings. Toddler beds are such great space savers, too! He would have more room for bookshelves, toys, and for general running around and being a two-year-old. Besides, toddler beds are so adorable!

See this one from Pottery Barn Kids:

Or this cozy looking design from IKEA:

And it would allow me to keep indulging in beautiful crib mattress-size sheets and quilts. How great are these Serena and Lily beddings??? (Although, 300 thread-count baby sheets are probably not an option for me hihi!)

Zutano makes nice ones too. I love this for a girl:

And this robot theme is often thought of for boys, but I think it's great for girls too!
Lots of great ideas for a fun toddler room. Here's a great post on Apartment Therapy about the pros and cons of this "transitional" size bed.

Hi, World!

More than 181 million blogs in the world right now, and I'm about to add another one! :) (Make that number 181,000,001 hehe!) This space is where I jot down all nice and fun things I want for the home.
